The Legacy of Andrew Fairlie

On Tuesday 22nd January 2019, Chef Andrew Fairlie passed away after a long battle with cancer. Throughout his life and career, Andrew led the way for outstanding cuisine, service and culture and did so with great judgement, humility, humour and inspiration.

 

The team at Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, led by Stephen McLaughlin (Head Chef) and Dale Dewsbury (General Manager), take tremendous pride in continuing to evolve the restaurant and serve the best of Scottish ingredients. Stevie and Dale worked together with Andrew in Glasgow before opening Restaurant Andrew Fairlie in 2001. Both they and the team have deep roots (collectively over 70 years working alongside Andrew) and are well placed to continue and build upon his legacy.
